January 2016

We’ll be open for the Tour Down Under again on Wednesday the 20th of January doing a sausage sizzle and selling pancakes with strawberries and icecream and cold drinks (and free tea and coffee). The station will be open from 11am and everyone is welcome to come and watch from the vantage point at the front of the station or just come for some strawberries and pancakes!

November 2015

We are holding a Bushfire Ready workshop on Sunday 29th November with free sausage sizzle from 11am to 2pm including talks and hands-on demonstrations with the CFS Community Education people. All welcome.

May 2015

2015 is the 60th anniversary of Bradbury CFS and we will be having a celebration on Sunday 24th May 2015 from 2pm at the station. All are welcome to help us celebrate. There will be an official welcome followed by entertainment and light refreshments. We will also have displays of memorabilia, presentation on our history and, of course, the opportunity to have a look around at what we do.

January 2015

We’ll be open for the Tour Down Under again on the afternoon of Wednesday the 21st of January doing a sausage sizzle and selling pancakes with strawberries and icecream and cold drinks (and free tea and coffee). The bikes are due past twice at 14:05 and 14:38 and everyone is welcome to come and watch from the vantage point at the front of the station or just come for some strawberries and pancakes!

November 2014

We are hold and Open Night and Community Information session on Monday 24th November with free sausage sizzle from 6pm with two talks by local speakers from 7pm. All welcome. See the flyer: Open Night at Bradbury CFS Station

March 2014

We will be doing our normal fund-raising election collection with sausage sizzle on Saturday 15th March outside the Longwood Hall for polling day. This year we are raising funds to insulate the fire station roof. The station will also be open for any member of the community who would like to look around and have a cup of tea/coffee.

Everyone is welcome to come and sit in front of the station and watch the race or just come for some strawberries and pancakes!

Advance announcement: We will be helping out at a joint Bushfire Blitz community information session with Ironbank brigade and the CFS Community Education people to be held on Wednesday 20th November 2013 at 6:15pm at Deviation Road Wines, so keep that date free!

We are hosting a Bushfire Ready community awareness public meeting on Friday 2nd Novemember to coincide with Bushfire Action Week. It will be held at Bradbury fire station starting at 6:30pm with a sausage sizzle prior from 6pm. Everyone is welcome! See the flyer.

The route for next year’s Tour Down Under has been announced and the race is coming past Bradbury fire station 6 times on Thursday 24th January 2013. As in previous years we will be opening the station and holding a sausage sizzle and selling pancakes with stawberries and icecream and cold drinks (and giving away free tea and coffee). Everyone is welcome is drop in for a visit or just come and watch the race.

Mar 2012

On Monday 5th March 2012 our local community was invited to the unveiling of the new cabin deluge system the brigade has fitted to Bradbury 24. This system envelopes the cab of the truck in a curtain of water to protect the occupants in the event of a burnover and is a significant safety improvement. This is being paid for by the Bradbury CFS Auxiliary from funds raised over many years from donations from our very generous local community.

The Tour Down Under is coming past Bradbury fire station twice on the afternoon of Wednesday the 18th of January and as in previous years we will be opening the station and holding a sausage sizzle and selling pancakes with stawberries and icecream and cold drinks (and giving away free tea and coffee). Everyone is welcome is drop in for a visit or just come and watch the race.

Sept 2011

We are looking for more members who live or work in the area. All training and equipment is provided. People volunteering to be firefighters are always welcome but there are many roles available in the brigade from specialist firefighting like CABA through to operational support like radio operators.
